Habitus | 0.75–1 m tall; internodes 1.5–2 cm long, 1.7–2 cm diam., dark green and glossy; petioles faintly to prominently whitened at base; sheath margins inrolled without touching, unequal at apex, one side rounded, weakly protruding, the other side acute, overlapping when young; free part of petiole acutely sulcate; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and weakly glossy above, paler and matte below; midrib flat and slightly paler above, narrow-rounded and paler below; primary lateral veins weakly quilted-sunken above, convex below; minor veins visible but not distinct; inflorescences 1–4 per axil; spathe tube dark green and weakly glossy; spathe blade paler and more nearly matte outside, entire inner surface glossy; stigmas pale orange; pistolodes and male spadix white. |
